About Franklin – My Journey, My Why

I’m Franklin McQuaid — founder of The Unemployed Genius Crusade, a proud member of the GreatLife WorldWide family, and a man who has walked both the hardest roads and the most rewarding ones.

I am a recovering alcoholic and former drug user who has been blessed with sobriety. That’s not just a statement — it’s a victory I live every single day. Along that path, I’ve learned that transformation is never just about willpower; it’s about the tools you use, the people you walk with, and the hope you choose to believe in.

For me, GreatLife’s library of digital services became part of my healing. The teachings, mentorship, and encouragement I’ve found here have helped me grow not only in my sobriety, but also in my faith, my purpose, and my vision for the future. The welcome and love I’ve experienced in this community are unlike anything I’ve seen before.

“We’re not building hype — we’re building lives. One person, one step, one victory at a time.”

From Strength to Service

Before this chapter of my life, I was a competitive powerlifter — winning State, National, and International championships. The discipline I learned there taught me what it means to push beyond limits. I’ve also carried a lifelong love for guitar and blues harmonica, companions that help me express emotion, ease anxiety, and lift the weight of depression.

For Our Veterans — Especially Our Disabled Veterans

One of my greatest passions is standing alongside U.S. Military Veterans who have sacrificed so much. They deserve more than gratitude; they deserve real opportunities to rebuild, to thrive, and to discover new purpose beyond the uniform. Through The Unemployed Genius Crusade and GreatLife WorldWide, my goal is to offer tools, resources, and a true community to lean on — like a band of brothers and sisters who never leave anyone behind.

My Mission Today

It’s my hope and vision to offer GreatLife WorldWide as a resource for anyone battling through life’s struggles — whether it’s sobriety, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, discipline, accountability, or just the heavy seasons we all face. This isn’t just about products or programs; it’s about hope, vision, and new possibilities for anyone willing to take hold and take action.

The Unemployed Genius Crusade, in partnership with GreatLife, exists to remind you: You were meant for more, and you are not alone. You are not without options. You are not without hope.
